Amphipod ("Wasp") is a horizontal metal spoon in the shape of a fish with a tee soldered into the tail and equipped with a wool tassel. A hole is made in the side of the fish through which a fishing line is passed, to the end of which a second tee is tied. The non-uniform thickness along the width is made to give the bait a unique game.
This spoon, in any design solution, will depict a wounded fish when playing. The only condition is the centering of the model. When hanging on a fishing line, the nose of the bait should be slightly higher than the tail: for deep fishing areas, heavier models should be selected, and light ones should be fished at shallow depths. The average amphipod is 4-5 cm in length, the weight of the heaviest models should not exceed 40 grams (heavier baits no longer work, the colors are selected depending on the light: at depth - light baits, in shallow water - dark ones.)
FOX amphipod is recommended for catching pike perch, pike perch from ice or from a boat in a vertical position.
